Day 4; Church to The Eye of Sydney

The day started out with church and a visit with John Holbrook and his family. An old family friend that we grew up together. Their children's accents were adorable!
From church we  went to the Queen Elizabeth building. It was an old building with stain glass windows even a stain glass dome. And as we were walking through we saw at the top there were these really cool clocks hanging from the ceiling.

After exploring some of the shops in the building we headed a little further down town and went to a small zoo and a very crowded aquarium.

It was our first glimpse at the kangaroo and koala and all those other awesome Australian Animals.
I think my favorite was the platypus. They were so cute and unique. They were also doing a lot of presentations even a croc feeding. Which was cool.

We then headed over to the Aquarium, which was a little more popular than the zoo. Though honestly I think the zoo was the better of the two.

They had Dugongs which were the animals that sailors and pirates thought were mermaids.
Yeah, totally looks like a mermaid right? They were really cute though too. And it was fun walking through the aquarium tunnel. Lots of sharks and rays and sea turtles.

We had dinner at the warf, and then walked through Hyde park to get to a Cathedral that I forgot the name to but both were a nice little break from the crowds.

It was starting to get dark, so we headed to our last stop which was the Eye of Sydney:
It's like the space needle or any tower overlooking the city. There was a bit of line but we got up there just fine and had a great view of Sydney. The opera center was blocked by a building but we had a great view of the bridge. It was awesome.

Adventure is out there.
